Dress for Success Grammar Turns Three

It's hard for me to believe that I started Grammar three years ago with five perfect white shirts. Since the beginning, Grammar's mission has been to make women feel good. I design each Grammar style with an appreciation for a woman's form and the functionality required of a garment for her every day, so that she can pursue her life with ease and purpose.

I'm so proud of what Grammar has become. The collection has expanded along with our wonderful, inspiring community. We have come so far with the support and creativity of those around us, and I can't thank you enough for being a part of the journey.

Where I was a Venture Fellow. The young woman pictured, Ilse, became an intern at Grammar and now has her own sustainable clothing line.

As I think about this past year, though it has been incredibly challenging I feel so grateful that Grammar is still here. So many small businesses have had to shut down, and so many people have lost their jobs and livelihoods. Women have been disproportionately affected, and we have lost many of the gains we had made toward pay and employment equity.

In celebration of our third birthday, we are donating shirts to Dress for Success.

Dress for Success is a nonprofit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and career development tools.

Jill has become a great friend and mentor. They sadly had to move out of this gorgeous space this year, and are temporarily set up in Sun Valley.

The mere existence of this organization is proof that what you wear matters, and that clothing can make a real, measurable impact on people's lives. What a perfect way to celebrate Grammar's mission and the end of 2020!

For each garment purchased on our website, we will donate a work-appropriate shirt to a woman who needs it. I hope you'll help me support more women this Holiday Season.

Thank you, my loves!

I'd like everyone to feel how our models look in our photoshoots. Grammar's campaigns are made to be aspirational, but palpable.
